DALLAS (AP) -The Dallas Mavericks have announced the re-signing of center Brendan Haywood.
The club did not reveal the terms in Friday’s announcement. But a person with knowledge of negotiations told The Associated Press on Thursday that Haywood had agreed to a six-year deal worth up to $55 million.
The 7-footer joined the Mavericks in a February deal with Washington, along with Caron Butler and DeShawn Stevenson. The Mavericks went 23-7 after they arrived, but were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs.
