INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Gordon Hayward is back in Indianapolis after showing his stuff to NBA teams.
He isn’t planning to stick around his hometown long.
After spending a third straight night at his parents’ house, Hayward will leave Wednesday for New York where he will attend Thursday night’s NBA draft.
Hayward grew up in nearby Brownsburg and played college ball at Butler.
He showed up for the Pacers with more defined muscles in his upper body. Scouts have wondered whether Hayward was strong enough to play in the NBA after only two seasons with the Bulldogs.
He also showed the Pacers that he can make 3-pointers from NBA range. The only question remaining is how high will Hayward be taken Thursday night?
