DALLAS (AP) -A growing number of NBA players are forming their own AAU teams.
Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry is among dozens, perhaps hundreds, of current and former NBA players with their own clubs, guys like LeBron James, Lamar Odom, Devin Harris and Mike Bibby.
They want to give back to the program that helped turn them into multimillionaires. They also want to eliminate the chance of any wrongdoing, since AAU teams have become attractive to people who want to latch onto talented kids in hopes of getting rich.
By providing everything the players and their parents need, troublemakers have nothing to use as bait.
