PHILADELPHIA (AP) -The Philadelphia 76ers have offered their head coaching job to Eddie Jordan.
A person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press that Jordan was offered was offered the job on Friday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because an announcement has not been made.
Jordan, fired by the Washington Wizards in November, interviewed twice with Sixers president Ed Stefanski.
The Wizards owe Jordan nearly $4 million next season and would have to pay the difference on the contract from Jordan’s new team.
Jordan is 230-288 in coaching stints with the Wizards and the Sacramento Kings.
