PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -The Portland Trail Blazers hired Tom Penn as assistant general manager on Tuesday.
Penn has been assistant general manager and legal counsel to the Memphis Grizzlies since 2000. Before that, he served as an attorney and player agent.
He will assist general manager Kevin Pritchard with player personnel decisions, as well salary cap and collective bargaining issues.
In addition, the Blazers announced domestic scout Michael Born is now the team's director of NBA scouting, and scout Chad Buchanan was made director of college scouting.
