MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins is switching up his bench a bit for Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against the San Antonio Spurs, deactivating Austin Daye in favor of Donte Greene.
The Grizzlies signed Greene and Willie Reed on the final day of the regular season in April. Greene hadn't been active for a game yet this postseason. The 6-foot-11 Daye did not play Tuesday night against the Spurs, though he did score four points in Game 1. Greene also is 6-11 but is nearly 20 pounds heavier than Daye.
Hollins said he can't guarantee he'll put Greene in the game but at least the forward will be ready.
The Spurs lead the series 2-0.
