LOS ANGELES (AP) -Former NBA great Elgin Baylor is suing an insurance and construction company for water damages to his Beverly Hills mansion.
The suit, filed in LA County Superior Court on Tuesday, alleges that Deleware-based Lexington Insurance Company failed to properly investigate Baylor’s claim and pay the full policy benefits. Baylor also names Norman Construction and Rick Norman as defendants, saying that faulty improvements by Norman later caused the water damage.
Baylor said he hired the builder in 2005 to renovate his roof and other parts of his house. Three years later, he said, water started seeping into parts of his home.
