NEW ORLEANS (AP) -Utah Jazz assistant Tyrone Corbin has met with the New Orleans Hornets about the club’s head coaching vacancy.
Hornets spokesman Harold Kaufman says Corbin interviewed for the job in New Orleans on Monday, making Corbin the eighth candidate to meet with the club.
The Hornets have been looking for a new coach since Jeff Bower went back to his general manager’s post full-time shortly after the regular season ended.
The Hornets also have interviewed former Dallas coach Avery Johnson, current Mavericks assistant Dwane Casey, former NBA coach Mike Fratello, former New Jersey head coach Lawrence Frank, former NBA player Mark Jackson, current Boston assistant Tom Thibodeau and Portland assistant Monty Williams.
