FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. (AP) -Darius Miles of the Memphis Grizzlies has been charged with possession of marijuana after police searched his car during a traffic stop.
Miles is free on bond.
Police say Miles was pulled over in the St. Louis suburb of Fairview Heights on Wednesday night for allegedly failing to use a turn signal. Police ticketed him for driving with a suspended license.
When the car was towed off, police say a search of it uncovered a misdemeanor amount of marijuana in a bag.
Miles played in 35 games for the Grizzlies this past season and averaged 3.5 points. Over his six-year NBA career, he’s averaging 10 points a game.
