INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) – LeBron James says he may have to change his mindset and be more aggressive in Game 2 against the Chicago Bulls.
With Cleveland missing starters Kevin Love and J.R. Smith, the Cavs dropped Game 1 on Monday night. James scored 19 points and added 15 rebounds and nine assists, but he often deferred to others instead of driving to the basket and that may have to change if the Cavs intend to even the series on Wednesday night.
James says he was more aggressive on defense than on offense in the series opener. Love’s absence – he’s out for the remainder of the playoffs following shoulder surgery – may require James and All-Star guard Kyrie Irving to do more.
The Bulls carved up Cleveland’s defense with pick-and-rolls, and Cavs coach David Blatt says his team was late in making adjustments. Blatt is considering lineup changes for Game 2.
