CLEVELAND (AP) -LeBron James says he is humbled by his second consecutive NBA MVP award.
James won’t receive his trophy until Sunday in his hometown of Akron. But before the Cleveland Cavaliers opened their playoff series against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, he acknowledged he’ll soon become the 10th player in league history to be honored in consecutive seasons.
James says it’s difficult for him to grasp being in such an exclusive club of players.
The 25-year-old averaged 29.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.6 assists this season. He will receive his award at Rhodes Arena at the University of Akron, a gym he played in many times as a high school star.
