PHILADELPHIA (AP) -Pistons forward Antonio McDyess was active for Game 4 against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, but not in the starting lineup a day after he had surgery to repair a broken nose.
McDyess wore a mask to protect the nose broken in the third quarter of Game 3. He returned to Detroit on Saturday for surgery to fix the nose and returned later that night.
``I didn't go through all this yesterday not to play,'' McDyess said before Game 4.
McDyess said he broke his four times, but never had it repaired until this time.
``I did it three times, but never that bad,'' he said.
