MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota Timberwolves president of basketball operations David Kahn says he has yet to meet with owner Glen Taylor about his job status. Kahn says he will not do so until after coach Rick Adelman makes a decision about returning next season.
Kahn released a statement Friday night after NBA.com reported that Taylor has decided to fire him and is negotiating with Flip Saunders to be the new president. The Timberwolves have not commented on the report.
Kahn has a team option on his contract for next season. He says views the job as a privilege and not a right and has been speaking with Taylor ``about the draft, free agency and other plans.''
Saunders told KFXN-FM radio that he has not been offered the job.
