SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -The Denver Nuggets know time is running out to correct problems they say should be easy to fix.
The Nuggets trail the Jazz 2-1 in the opening round of the Western Conference playoffs. Game 4 is Sunday night in Utah and both teams know the colossal difference between being tied 2-all and a 3-1 series lead – or defict.
Forward Carmelo Anthony says if Denver plays like it did Friday in a 105-93 loss, the Nuggets will have serious troubles ahead. If Denver performs like it did while going 3-1 against Utah in the regular season, the playoff series could be tied once again.
Anthony says there was an obvious lack of effort from the Nuggets in Game 3. He says there’s no explanation and gave the Nuggets something obvious to focus on in practice Saturday.
