NEW YORK (AP) -The New York Knicks are ready to clear up their coaching situation.
A person with knowledge of the situation said new president Donnie Walsh will address Isiah Thomas’ future during an afternoon conference call. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because there has not yet been a formal announcement.
Walsh replaced Thomas as team president April 2 but wanted to wait until the season was over before making a decision on the coach. The Knicks finished their 23-59 season Wednesday, matching the franchise record for losses.
Thomas has said he wants to remain in the organization and is willing to do whatever Walsh asks.
