INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Indiana Pacers center Jeff Foster, guard Travis Diener and New York Knicks forward Wilson Chandler sat out Wednesday night’s season finale.
Foster has a small right patella fracture. The team’s top rebounder also missed Monday’s game against Washington.
Jermaine O’Neal started in his place. O’Neal, who missed 33 games earlier this season with a bone bruise on his left knee, got his first start since Jan. 16 after playing limited minutes since his return.
Diener, a backup point guard, has a sore left foot. He averages 6.7 points per game.
Chandler averaged 18 points and 7.8 rebounds in a four-game stretch before he was hurt Monday night against Boston. He landed awkwardly going for a rebound, and an MRI exam on Tuesday revealed a bone bruise on his left knee. He’s expected to be on crutches for two weeks.
