NEW ORLEANS (AP) -Minnesota coach Kurt Rambis was ejected for arguing with officials in the second quarter of the Timberwolves’ game against the New Orleans Hornets.
Rambis was angered by a traveling call that went against Al Jefferson as he attempted a reverse layup.
Official Eli Roe called the first technical on Rambis, who continued shouting until Ron Garretson called the second, triggering the automatic ejection.
Rambis then stood silently with an incredulous look on his face for several seconds before finally walking to the locker room.
The Wolves, who entered the game having lost 20 of 21 games and with the worst record in the Western Conference, were trailing 31-25 when Rambis left.
