CLEVELAND (AP) - Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving is playing on the second night of back-to-back games for the first time since returning from a shoulder injury.
The All-Star was injured March 10 and missed eight games. He returned March 31, but sat out the following night as part of the team's recovery protocol. Irving, the team's leader with 22.6 points a game, has played every game since.
Guard Dion Waiters is expected to see his first action since injuring his left knee March 20. Waiters, the team's second-leading scorer with a 14.7 average, has missed 10 games. Coach Byron Scott said Waiters will likely be limited to 15-20 minutes by the team's medical staff.
The Cavaliers hosted Detroit on Wednesday night.
