WASHINGTON (AP) – Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson will have an MRI after reinjuring his left knee in a loss to the Washington Wizards.
Gibson was hurt in the second quarter of Tuesday night’s 90-86 loss and will have the knee examined Wednesday.
Gibson said he hurt his knee when he planted his leg while trying to guard Trevor Ariza.
Gibson said the injury felt similar to the sprained MCL that caused him to miss 10 games recently. He returned on March 21 and is averaging 8.0 points on the season.
The Bulls are already short-handed, playing without Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Marco Belinelli and Richard Hamilton in the homestretch of the regular season.
