EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -Detroit forward Rasheed Wallace was suspended for the Pistons’ game against the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday night for picking up his 16th technical foul of the season the previous night against Cleveland.
Wallace, who returned to the lineup on Tuesday after missing 11 games with an injured left calf, was hit with a technical late in the third quarter for complaining after Tayshaun Prince was called for a foul on a play that he felt LeBron James should have been whistled for charging.
Wallace had nine points and nine rebounds in Detroit’s 79-73 loss. He was averaging 12.4 points and 7.5 rebounds before being sidelined.
