CHICAGO (AP) -Indiana forward Troy Murphy missed his second game because of a sprained ligament in his left knee Sunday when the Pacers played the Chicago Bulls.
The 6-foot-11 Murphy, who’s averaging 14.1 points and is third in the NBA at 11.8 rebounds, was injured at the end of Wednesday’s shootaround and did not play that night against Miami.
Coach Jim O’Brien says an MRI taken Thursday showed no major damage but “it’s a very painful sprain.”
