Stomach problems caused Okur to head to the locker room after playing just seven minutes against the Toronto Raptors on March 17 . Physically weakened from fluid loss, he struggled to score 10 points against the Los Angeles Lakers three nights later.
Okur had two strong games of 24 and 20 points against Seattle and Charlotte earlier this week and credited his play to feeling physically better.
Brewer, who averages 12 points, has started every game this season but two because a severely bruised tailbone from Feb. 8-9.
Okur averages 14.2 points and 7.2 rebounds this season. The Turkish center missed seven consecutive games from Dec. 12-22, 2007 with a strained left trapezius and was inactive with back spasms against the Lakers on Nov. 30.
Jarron Collins and C.J. Miles will start in their places.
