ATLANTA (AP) -Boston forward Kevin Garnett’s comeback from a knee injury is on hold again.
Garnett has played in four games after missing 13 games with a right knee strain, but was held out of Friday night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks after feeling more soreness in the knee.
Celtics coach Doc Rivers said he is “not concerned in the big picture,” but said he believed it was necessary to give Garnett “a day of rest.”
Rivers said Garnett, who is averaging 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds was “just not feeling great” on Friday but would have played if it had been a playoff game.
Rivers said there are no plans for further tests on the knee.
