EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -Indiana forward Troy Murphy missed the Pacers' game with the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday night because of strep throat.
``Troy is ill,'' coach Jim O'Brien said. ``He was ill yesterday, too, strep throat the night before and he played a lot minutes.''
Murphy was seen by doctors on Wednesday. He remained at the hotel when the team left for the Izod Center.
Shawne Williams replaced Murphy in the starting lineup.
