 EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) -Ira Newble signed a 10-day contract Friday with the Western Conference-leading Los Angeles Lakers.
The 33-year-old forward most recently played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Seattle SuperSonics, averaging 4.2 points and 2.7 rebounds in 43 games this season.
Cleveland traded Newble to Seattle on Feb. 21, and he played two games for the Sonics before being waived eight days later.
