TORONTO (AP) -Chris Bosh plans to be back on the court Wednesday when the Toronto Raptors host the Miami Heat.
The Raptors forward posted the news on his Web site Tuesday, saying “Great news! Fresh off the press! I’m playing tomorrow!”
It’s good news for a Raptors squad that has struggled without its leading scorer and rebounder. Bosh has missed Toronto’s last nine games with a sore right knee, and the Raptors (34-33) have gone 2-7 without him, including going 0-5 on their recent West Coast road swing.
Bosh has been increasing his workload gradually to prepare for his return.
“I’ve been working out for the past couple of days getting back in shape and my knee has responded pretty well,” he said. “I’m really excited because I’ve been waiting for a while now, watching on the bench every game. I’m finally back now!”
