SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) -Funeral services for billionaire philanthropist and Detroit Pistons owner William Davidson will begin at noon Tuesday at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield.
A burial will follow at Clover Hill Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
Davidson died Friday at his Bloomfield Hills home. He was 86.
He became majority owner of the Pistons in 1974. The team won NBA titles in 1989, 1990 and 2004. His WNBA Detroit Shock franchise also has won three titles. Davidson’s Tampa Bay Lightning won the NHL’s Stanley Cup in 2004.
He was inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame in September.
