BOSTON (AP) -Boston guard Ray Allen left the Celtics’ game against Utah on Friday night with a jammed left ankle and did not return for the final three quarters.
The 32-year-old All-Star played the whole first quarter but did not come out for the second. The Celtics announced he had a jammed ankle, and after re-evaluating him at halftime said he would not return.
Allen scored nine points, going 6-for-6 from the free throw line. He is Boston’s No. 3 scorer, with 18.4 per game.
