CLEVELAND (AP) -The Cleveland Cavaliers may rest superstar LeBron James for a second straight game.
James, who has a tender right ankle, is a game-time decision for Monday night’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs. The NBA’s reigning MVP did not take part in the morning shootaround, opting to lift weights while his teammates were on the floor of Quicken Loans Arena.
Asked how he was feeling, James said, “I’m good.”
Cavs coach Mike Brown sat James for Saturday’s game in Milwaukee, and is leaning toward giving James another night off. After facing the Spurs, the Cavs don’t play again until Friday and Brown feels it’s an ideal time for James to rest.
James rolled his ankle during a game against Detroit on Friday.
