MIAMI (AP) -Rafer Alston’s second stint with the Miami Heat may be over, with the team saying they have suspended the point guard indefinitely.
Alston was not at the arena for Miami’s win over Atlanta on Saturday night. About two hours after the game, the team said its only communication with Alston has been by text message.
Alston “has made himself otherwise unavailable to the team,” the team said in its release.
He has played in 25 games for the Heat since rejoining the club on Jan. 7, averaging 6.6 points and 2.9 assists.
