DALLAS (AP) -Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry has had surgery to repair facial injuries he sustained in a game against Minnesota.
The Mavericks said in a statement on Friday that Dr. Neil Williams performed the operation in Dallas. Terry is expected to return to basketball activities in 10-14 days.
He won’t travel with the team on its two-game road trip to Chicago and Minnesota that begins Saturday.
Terry was injured when he took an elbow to the face with 4 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter of Wednesday’s 112-109 home victory over the Timberwolves. Terry’s left eye was nearly swollen shut when he left the Dallas locker room after the game.
