CHICAGO (AP) -Bulls forward Luol Deng missed Wednesday night’s game against the Golden State Warriors due to a stress fracture in his right leg.
Deng had a review of a repeat MRI and a CT scan of his tibia earlier in the day, indicating an early anterior stress fracture. He sat out his second straight game after sustaining the injury Saturday night in Chicago’s win against Houston. An MR on Sunday didn’t reveal any damage.
Before the game, Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro refused to answer any questions regarding Deng’s injury and Deng was not available for comment.
Deng, who is averaging 14.1 points and six rebounds a game, was a late scratch from Tuesday night’s loss to at Charlotte. He pulled himself out after experiencing pain in his leg.
