CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -The Charlotte Bobcats are hoping a couple days of rest will help heal guard Raja Bell’s painful right biceps strain.
Bell sat out practice on Wednesday and coach Larry Brown said his starting shooting guard would also likely miss Thursday’s workout. Brown is hopeful Bell will be able to play Friday night against Atlanta.
Bell first started feeling pain in his shoulder during last week’s West Coast trip. He started and scored 18 first-half points in Tuesday’s win against Chicago, but was shut out in the second half when he said it was too painful to shoot.
Fellow starters Raymond Felton, Emeka Okafor and Gerald Wallace also sat out practice Wednesday to rest minor injuries.
