DALLAS (AP) – Rajon Rondo says frustration sparked a run-in with Dallas coach Rick Carlisle during a game and the Mavericks point guard is ready to move on after a one-game suspension.
Rondo said Friday that he and Carlisle had agreed their communication needed to improve after he was benched following a heated exchange in the third quarter of a win over Toronto on Tuesday. He was suspended a night later at Atlanta.
Acquired in a trade with Boston in December, Rondo said he was going to ”play my heart out” in the remaining 22 games with Dallas pushing for a top four seed in the Western Conference. He will start Saturday night at home against Brooklyn.
Carlisle said he considered the issue to be ”light years ago.”
