-Michael Redd, Bucks, scored a season-high 42 points, including five free throws in the final 1:13, and Milwaukee rallied from 23 points down to beat Denver 115-109.
-Richard Jefferson, Nets, equaled his season high with 36 points and New Jersey beat Indiana 102-91
-Manu Ginobili, Spurs, had 30 points and a career-high 12 assists to lead San Antonio to a 98-89 victory over New Orleans.
MOVING ON UP
Pau Gasol scored 23 points, five teammates finished in double figures, and the Lakers beat the short-handed Clippers 113-95 Saturday night for their seventh straight victory to tie them with Phoenix for the Western Conference lead. The Lakers tied with Phoenix for the Western Conference lead, also won seven in a row earlier this season, their longest streak since they won 11 straight late in the 2003-04 season before going on to reach the NBA finals. The Lakers have also won six straight road games - their longest such streak in five years.
BEST OF SOUTHWEST
Manu Ginobili scored 30 points and had a career-high 12 assists Saturday against New Orleans to help the Spurs withstand a late run for a 98-89 victory and their fifth straight win. San Antonio is now tied with the Hornets atop the Southwest Division with a 37-17 record.
THE HEAT IS OFF
Andre Iguodala scored 24 points and converted a key three-point play as Philadelphia scored the final 10 points in overtime and send Miami to its 11th straight loss, 101-96 on Saturday night. Dwyane Wade scored 33 points for the Heat, who have dropped 26 of their last 27 games. Miami also had a 15-game losing streak from Dec. 25-Jan. 24 that ended when it beat Indiana 98-96 on Jan. 26.
Carlos Boozer had 21 points and 12 rebounds to help Utah hold off Atlanta 100-94 on Saturday night for their 14th straight home victory. The Jazz have won 14 of their last 16 games overall, and have won 14 straight against the Hawks in Salt Lake City. Dominique Wilkins scored 43 points on Feb 13, 1993 to lead Atlanta to its last win there, 121-112.
Richard Jefferson equaled his season high with 36 points and Vince Carter added 24 and New Jersey beat Indiana 102-91 on Saturday night and split the home-and-home series. The Nets, who lost in Indianapolis on Friday, are 2-1 since trading Jason Kidd to Dallas in a multiplayer deal on Tuesday.
