EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Richard Jefferson equaled his season high with 36 points and Vince Carter added 24 as the New Jersey Nets beat the Indiana Pacers and split the home-and-home series.
The Nets, who lost in Indianapolis on Friday, are 2-1 since trading Jason Kidd to Dallas in a multiplayer deal on Tuesday. Marcus Williams, now the starting point guard, had a career-high 13 assists to go along with eight points. Josh Boone added 19 points and a game-high 13 rebounds for New Jersey.
Danny Granger scored 29 points for the Pacers, who have dropped four of the last five.
Wizards 110, Bobcats 95
WASHINGTON (AP) - Antawn Jamison scored 22 points and DeShawn Stevenson added 20 points to lead the Wizards to their second win in 12 games.
Leading 70-69 with 3:33 to play in the third quarter, Washington went on a 14-2 run, led by five points by Oleksiy Pecherov to end the third quarter and start the fourth. The run gave the Wizards an 84-71 lead with 10:53 remaining.
After the Wizards' decisive run, Charlotte never got closer than seven points in falling for the 10th time in 11 games. The Bobcats were without Gerald Wallace, who suffered a concussion Friday.
Jason Richardson scored 25 points, but just four in the fourth quarter, and Emeka Okafor had 17 points and 13 rebounds.
