CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -Referee Joey Crawford left Friday’s Sacramento-Charlotte game midway through the first quarter because of flu-like symptoms.
Crawford started the game and continued until the first timeout with 5:52 left, when he walked through the tunnel to the locker room. A Bobcats official said it was uncertain if he would return.
Crawford’s absence left only two officials to work the game, Phil Robinson and Leroy Richardson.
