HOUSTON (AP) -Dallas Mavericks guard Jerry Stackhouse is expected to play against Houston after sitting out three months with a right foot injury.
Stackhouse has played in only eight games this season and has been out since scoring two points in a loss to Orlando on Nov. 14.
Coach Rick Carlisle says Stackhouse will “get some minutes” Friday against the Rockets.
The two-time All-Star has been working on his conditioning for about two weeks.
The Mavericks entered Friday’s game in seventh place in the West, one-half game behind the Rockets. Dallas needs some scoring punch off the bench after Jason Terry broke a bone in his left hand Feb. 7. Terry is the Mavs’ second-leading scorer, averaging 19.9 points per game.
