MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -Minnesota Timberwolves guard Rashad McCants missed the game Tuesday night against Toronto because of illness.
McCants was at the shootaround on Tuesday morning, but fell sick in the afternoon and was unable to attend the game.
The shooting guard had played in three straight games after watching 12 straight games from the bench, though he played just over 3 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Hornets.
Still, the absence didn’t help a short-handed Minnesota team playing its first game without star center Al Jefferson, who will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his right knee.
