ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -Vince Carter was sidelined for the New Jersey Nets' game against the Orlando Magic on Sunday night with a hyperextended right elbow.
Carter said he was injured in the third quarter of the Nets' 114-70 win over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night and is day-to-day. Jarvis Hayes started in his place.
Orlando also was dealing with its own injury, with All-Star point guard Jameer Nelson missing his third straight game with a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Nelson is still deciding whether to have season-ending surgery or hold off and attempt rehabilitation.
