ATLANTA (AP) -The Atlanta Hawks held out Mike Bibby with a sore foot Saturday after their starting point guard was injured the night before in Charlotte.
Bibby, the Hawks’ second-leading scorer with a 16.1-point average, missed his first game of the season for Atlanta, which was hosting the Los Angeles Clippers.
Coach Mike Woodson listed Bibby as day-to-day and hopes he can return Tuesday against Washington.
Joe Johnson, who leads the Hawks with a 21.5 average and the NBA with an average of 40.1 minutes played, was back in the lineup after missing two games with the flu.
Forward Marvin Williams started despite needing an IV for additional fluids Friday night and again Saturday morning.
