WASHINGTON (AP) -Washington Wizards forward Caron Butler was out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs with a strained hip flexor.
Butler, who left Tuesday's game in Philadelphia after his hip began hurting, was playing just his second game after missing three with the same injury.
``Caron is going to be out. He's going to be day-to-day after that,'' Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said. ``There's no real damage there. It's just sore.''
Jordan said that Butler would accompany the Wizards on the four-game trip that begins Friday in Denver. Andray Blatche started in Butler's place.
Washington is 7-23 in games that Butler has missed since joining the team for the 2005-2006 season.
