SHAQ ON THE MOVE?
Shaquille O'Neal is prepared for the Miami Heat to trade him, a confidant of the 14-time All-Star center told The Associated Press on Tuesday night. O'Neal's associate, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to reveal anything publicly, indicated a move could be imminent, as did media reports. The Miami Herald reported earlier Tuesday that the Heat are in ``serious and ongoing'' trade negotiations with the Phoenix Suns.

DEBUTS
damire started in his San Antonio debut, playing 22 minutes and finishing with 11 points in a 116-89 win over Indiana on Tuesday. ... Los Angeles' Pau Gasol had 24 points and 12 rebounds in his first game with the Lakers, a 105-90 win over New Jersey. Gasol was acquired last Friday from Memphis for a package including Kwame Brown and two first round picks.

STRONG IN DEFEAT
Mike Miller finished with a season-high 32 points, but Memphis lost 102-97 at home to Milwaukee.

SPEAKING
``I saw his foot before the game and I was like, 'Man, I'd never seen nothing like that before.' He said it's not going to bother him. He's going to coach like he always does.'' - Philadelphia's Rodney Carney about coach Maurice Cheeks, who has been battling gout on his left foot. Cheeks coached his second game in two nights wearing only one shoe - on his right foot - because of the condition. His left foot was grotesquely swollen, he walked with a limp and only briefly paced on the sideline.
