SAN ANTONIO (AP) -The San Antonio Spurs are hitting the road for three weeks, and hope to return a much better team.
The Spurs begin their annual “Rodeo Road Trip” on Wednesday with a 27-19 record – good enough for a bottom seed in the Western Conference if the playoffs began today but worse than many expected.
The Spurs are coming off a 2-4 homestand that displayed their inconsistency all season. Now the Spurs hope this Rodeo Road Trip can propel them toward the playoffs as in years past.
The Spurs are left homeless each year about this time by the annual San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo.
T Center in 2002. They start this year’s trek at Sacramento, and get their toughest test in Los Angeles next Monday against the Lakers.
