MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Kevin Love made his return to Minnesota on Saturday night, and he was booed loudly when he was introduced before the Cavaliers played the Timberwolves.
Love spent his first six years in the NBA with the Wolves. He was a three-time All-Star and won an Olympic gold medal as well. But he never made it to the playoffs and asked for a trade after last season.
Love says it is a weird feeling to come into Target Center as a member of the visiting team. He calls his time in Minnesota bittersweet because of the good relationships he made and the lack of success they had on the court.
Love says he expected to be booed. But he says he’s happy playing for the Cavaliers, who took a nine-game winning streak into the game.
