MILWAUKEE (AP) -Jerry Stackhouse says he’ll be fresh and ready when he makes his debut for the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
But the 15-year veteran forward isn’t sure exactly what he’ll be able to provide or how many minutes he’ll play against Toronto.
Stackhouse was limited by injuries and played only 10 games last year in Dallas before his contract was bought out following an offseason trade to Memphis.
He says the contract he signed with the Bucks on Monday for the rest of the year is the right fit and beats spending any more time stuck in the carpool lane in traffic near his Atlanta home.
The Bucks hope he’ll add toughness and leadership. Stackhouse was a teammate of coach Scott Skiles and played under general manager John Hammond when both were in Detroit.
