WASHINGTON (AP) - Washington Wizards forward Caron Butler made his 54th consecutive free throw Friday night, the longest streak in the NBA this season and extending his franchise record.
Butler entered Washington's game against the New York Knicks having made 50 foul shots in a row, and he made his first four Friday.
That surpassed the best such run in the league in 2007-08. Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash made 53 in a row.
