NEW ORLEANS (AP) -The New York Knicks scratched reserve center Eddy Curry from the lineup before tipping off against the New Orleans Hornets on Monday night.
Curry, who missed the Knicks’ previous game on Saturday night in Houston with a sore right knee, now has a sore left knee, team officials said.
Curry, who is 6 feet 11, has played in only one game this season on Jan. 8, scoring two points in three minutes. After playing in New York’s final preseason game, he missed the Knicks’ first 33 regular-season games with a right knee injury.
Curry is in his fourth season with the Knicks. He averaged 13.2 points and 4.7 rebounds last season.
