Saturday NBA Opening Odds
(The Spread) – The odds for Saturday’s action in the NBA are available. Let’s check out the spreads for some of tonight’s big matchups. One of the hotter teams in the league right now is the Los Angeles Clippers, who have now won eight straight games to improve their record to 16-6. They’ll visit another hot team tonight in the Milwaukee Bucks, who have won four straight games themselves. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Clippers opened as a 3.5-point favorite but the total is now up to 4.5 at most books. One of the marquee matchups of the night pits the San Antonio Spurs versus the Boston Celtics at 8:30PM ET. The Spurs opened as 8-point favorites but the line has jumped a full 1.5 points to 9.5. The Celtics are 5-0 against the spread in their last five trips to San Antonio and the underdog is 10-1-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings between these two teams. Another intriguing matchup has the Dallas Mavericks visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves at 8:00PM ET. The Mavs enter tonight with an 11-12 record while the T-Wolves have jumped out to 11-9. According to latest NBA trends, the Mavericks are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games versus the Wolves, but they’re 9-2 ATS in their last 11 trips to Minnesota. Also on the schedule tonight, the Atlanta Hawks are 6-point favorites versus the Golden State Warriors and the Chicago Bulls are 5.5-point favorites versus the Brooklyn Nets. The Miami Heat are 14.5-point favorites versus the Washington Wizards, while the Detroit Pistons are 2.5-point home underdogs versus the Indiana Pacers.
