James Harden shot 5-of-21 from the field and 3-of-4 from the foul line in Saturday’s 111-107 loss to the Bulls, recording a line of 14 points, seven rebounds, 14 assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer in 40 minutes. Harden had a rough night shooting the basketball, as he made just 25% of his 2-point attempts (4-of-16). Add in his only getting four free throw attempts, and it’s easy to see why the scoring wasn’t there. But there was a noteworthy positive: Harden did not commit a single turnover, his first such game of the season. Fantasy managers obviously shouldn’t expect to see Harden do this on a consistent basis. But if he can shave a little off of that turnover average (5.0 per game entering Saturday), that could be the difference between a top-5 and a top-10 season for The Beard.
Dallas Mavericks DFS Spin
The Mavericks announced that both Luka Doncic (left ankle soreness) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (right knee contusion) have been listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game against Brooklyn. Doncic missed Saturday’s loss against Memphis with the ankle injury, while Hardaway Jr. played 31 minutes off the bench and exploded for 29 points on 7-of-18 shooting with five triples. Doncic practiced on Monday, so it looks like he will at least try to give it a go. We will have more updates on both as we get closer to Tuesday’s tip-off.
Nets vs. Mavericks NBA Betting Prediction
The Nets are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against the Mavericks, are winless against the number in their last four games despite winning seven of their last 10 straight up and are 0-6 at the betting window in their last six games as a favorite. Despite Dallas’ issues both straight up and against the number of late, the Mavs have home court advantage and are catching nearly two baskets.
